The Most TruliAmazing Marketing Tip Winner Is Shaqualyn Mitchell

When we launched our new Trulia Pro blog last month, we asked the following question:

“What is your top online marketing tip that you use to meet more clients online, close more deals, build your brand, or simplify the way you work, i.e., helps you be a TruliAmazing Agent?”

We received so many wonderful and unique tips but the one that caught our attention the most was an email sent to us by Independent Real Estate Broker Shaqualyn Mitchell from Brooklyn, New York.

Here’s Shay’s most TruliAmazing real estate marketing tip:

I sell real estate in very popular neighborhoods of Brooklyn, so my listings almost always get heavy web traffic and each listing gets pretty much the same types of inquiries. At one point I would retype answers to the same exact questions 10-15 times a day! Because of the time robbing of retyping, I would often have to wait (and forget) to respond to an inquiry. That’s when I discovered the “auto text” feature on my BB. Now, when I get a listing, I set my BB to replace the listing address with a blurb that I create with answers to frequently asked questions. For ex.- if I type “5 Dean #1” in the body of my email- it will auto replace the address with the blurb! This has eliminated typing redundancy to inquiry responses. I get so much praise from customers for responding so quickly and for providing answers to questions they hadn’t thought of.

If you receive many inquiries via email from home buyers, home sellers or renters like Shay does, you can see the need to create a rapid response system. In the real estate industry, when it comes to responding to leads, time is of the essence. Consumers do not want to hear back from you a day or a week later. They want a quick response.

Using your mobile device to quickly engage a hot prospect could pay huge dividends. Not only will the quickness of a response help you better position yourself to getting your next client, but it will make you a more efficient real estate professional.
