Your clients know you’re awesome – now they can tell the rest of the world! To make each Recommendation a stronger representation of you, we now require author approval on what were formerly known as Testimonials to turn them into verified Recommendations.

On September 30, 2012 all unverified Testimonials will be removed from Trulia. Don’t lose them.

Follow these easy steps to verify your current testimonials and increase the number of Recommendations on your Trulia Profile:

Step 1: Find out which testimonials need to verified.

Visit the the testimonials verification area on your Trulia profile to get a count of all of your testimonials that need to be migrated.

 

Step 2: Tell us about your client relationship

Click the “Move Testimonials” tab in the Recommendations section to see each individual Testimonial and specify what type of connection you have with the author.

 

Step 3: Send an e-mail to confirm your recommendations

After you’ve updated the relationship field, add the e-mail address of the Testimonial’s author.

Once we have their e-mail address. Trulia will automatically send a note to verify its authenticity.

Step 4: Verify with one click

The Testimonial author will receive a short e-mail from Trulia that lets them confirm with one click.

Once the Testimonials have been confirmed, they will turn into Recommendations and immediately increase your rank in Trulia’s Find-a-Pro section and get added to the Recommendations counter on your profile to help strengthen your online reputation.

What’s the difference between a Testimonial and a Recommendation?

Testimonials are unverified comments from your clients or colleagues that were added to Trulia in the past. After this month, this feedback will no longer be featured as a part of your public profile on Trulia.

Recommendations are a stamp of approval by past clients and colleagues visible on your profile, Trulia’s home page, and to your client’s networks.
